I remember the day James came to my home and introduced me to the Truth. That was the day my life began to take on real meaning. I thank Jehovah for giving James the ability and courage to witness to me that started my feet on the path of the real life. He turned over to a beautiful couple (Mike & Twila Sims) who studied with me to baptism. I’m still serving Jehovah now for fifty-five years. Thanks to Jehovah and all those who helped me to serve our great God Jehovah!
I remember when Johnny and I were restructured over to Miles congregation from Metro congregation on the west side. Brother James Jackson invited us to join his group in hospitality as his home... This made us feel welcomed.

I remember when James and I met for the first time formally. He was an attendant at our assembly hall. I was about to reserve a seat in the elderly section, when he approached and said, “Sister, you can’t set here at this time.” He was so kind.
I remember when I first met the Jackson family. It was the first time meeting brother Jackson and his family. They were all kind and respectful. You are truly blessed and he will br missed.
I remember when James was a cast member who had the privilege to appear in a Bible drama portraying JOB. I could see why he was chosen for that role because like JOB ‘James spoke the truth about God; he consciously demonstrated his awareness and acceptance of his headship role and care for his wife and daughters. He was kind and helpful all whom he could, to especially the fatherless one. He was a quiet man that kept his integrity into death like JOB’. Now he sleeps and awaits his future blessings. We love him and miss him for now.

I use to visit Robin and James early in the morning before I went to work and they would (James and Robin) would ALWAYS be there during my troubling times. James a good example of a theocratic man and a spiritual man. I look forward to see him again in the new system,standing strong and healthy and I will say,welcome back "Lefty"!

Most people know Lefty for his basketball prowess but he also use to come to the playground and play football, and that is where I first met him. I was about 12 and he was about 16. I'll never foget the 50 yard touchdown pass he threw to me. Of couse even more impressive was finding out later that we had both become spiritual brothers. He will surely be missed

I remember when James met Lee Cage’s children for the first time LOL! Whoo it was a moment that I personally will never forget!! It was after the South English Congregation’s Theocratic Ministry School & Service Meeting (as it was then called) had concluded. I honestly think that Brother Jackson was shocked to learn that the children of someone that he “ran with back in the day” (LOL!) became Jehovah’s Witnesses!! And I also didn’t think that we would become so close to each other, given that conversation. But boy was I so wrong!!! I met one of my father figures that day. It was the start of something very, very special.
I remember when James gave the memorial talk from my mother, Betty Longmire. I remember you came by to talk to me before the funeral and we talked about how she had made her dedication even though she had not been immersed. We also talked about some things regarding East Tech and I had a stack of your classmates pictures and I asked if you want them and you took them gladly I remember the beautiful memorial talk that you presented. Majority of the people who attended were not servants of the Jehovah, but they were able to hear what really happens when someone dies. It was a beautiful discourse. I'm so thankful I was able to find out about this to be able to share this as I live in another State but soon we will see you, brother.

I remember when James Had a gathering at their home, I was able to bring a bible study along.It left a wonderful impression on her. Chezette Epperson didn't join our spiritual family at that particular time, but she did eventually after studying a few more years with other conductors. I'm certain she considered the joy, warmth, and delight of that occasion when deciding praise Jehovah for life.

Their youngest daughter is with us now with her husband serving as an elder. James was an excellent speaker and gave many talks at our assemblies and conventions. He will be missed by many people.

We would sometimes do a few houses then we would stop warm up in the car and get coffee... Back then McDonald's had the hot cinnamon danish, a real treat. I also remember attending Pioneer School with Bro. Jackson for two weeks at the old Bedford Kingdom Hall back in 1988. Those were the days.

I am a close friend of J’Nai in her River View congregation. In seeing her Dad, James’ picture I could immediately see J’Nai and even get a sense of his joyful disposition. He has a wonderful daughter and it’s a real testament to her parent’s hard work in raising an amazing family!
I remember when Spiritual Father -Brother Jackson shaped my faith in ways he probably never realized. He didn’t preach at me … he lived it. And that example stays with me till this day

Elementary - 6th Grade
My sister & I (Verline passed 11/2/24) went to elementary school with James. When we were all grown up, He said we were good examples to him for being sincere Christian Witnesses of Jehovah. We stayed neutral and lived by Bible principles We were glad that he saw that in us. We were so proud he matured into a Christian elder at Miles Kingdom Hall and his wife & 2 daughters became “pioneers” like Jesus in public ministry

We remember working with Bro. Jackson for many months in food service during the Coraopolis Assembly Hall in PA he was such a loving faithful brother. We had many good times throughout the entire project!
I remember when James Shared with me his concern about his Health and it prevents him from doing the things he enjoys, he new his condition was worsening, I would remind him of god’s word how sin and death is evident, I would assure him, that he’s not fighting alone that I was here to fight with him to the end, I’m grateful that I was!
